Our Neutral Ground Partners are making a difference!
Community organizations, businesses and private citizens can “adopt” a park, playground, or a neutral ground, which they are then responsible for maintaining for a year.
Planting of any trees or flowers on the adopted green space requires prior approval from the City of New Orleans Department of Parks and Parkways.
Not only is adopting a neutral ground, park or playground a great way to contribute to the improvement of your city through beautification, but it’s also a great way to let the public know that you care about your community.
It’s Easy!
- Contact Burdette at Parkway Partners to find out if the greenspace you are interested in is available.
- Submit an adoption agreement and commit to at least one year of maintenance.
- Parkway Partners submits the form to the Department of Parks and Parkways, and contacts you upon approval. Your adoption will be recognized with a sign.
