What exactly does Save Our Trees do?
We target the trees located between the sidewalk and the street, but we will spray in any public or private space.
Spring defoliation by caterpillars can lead to damage that the trees cannot overcome. The Buckmoth caterpillar voraciously eats the foliage of local trees and has a nasty sting that can harm humans and pets.
Fully licensed, reputable contractors will treat your trees with care.
Reminder: Trees cannot be sprayed until caterpillars have hatched.
Buckmoth Tree Spraying
$75 per tree
New Orleans is famous for its beautiful trees, but many are severely threatened by urban stress. To deter the ill effects of environmental damage, trees should be professionally fertilized annually. Fully licensed, reputable companies are contracted to perform the work. Contractors are permitted by the City’s Department of Parks and Parkways, and use only approved and appropriate chemicals.
Fertilization
$65 per tree
Damaged trees often have areas of exposed wood that attract termites allowing them to gain entry and further weaken the already stressed tree.
Termite Treatment
$130 per tree
