End the life cycle of the buckmoth caterpillar! Sign up for spraying. Our target is the tree located between the sidewalk and the street, but we will spray in any PUBLIC space. Buckmoth Caterpillar Spraying $75 per tree Spring defoliation by the caterpillars can lead to damage that the trees cannot overcome. The caterpillar voraciously eats the foliage of oaks and has a nasty sting when touched by humans or pets. Live oaks were stressed by the storm and the subsequent drought. As with fertilization, fully licensed, reputable companies are contracted to spray infested trees with insecticide. Trees cannot be sprayed until the caterpillars have hatched. Termite Treatment and Fertilization Fertilizing $65 per tree New Orleans is famous for its beautiful trees, but many are severely threatened by urban stress, especially those in public settings. To deter the ill effects of environmental damage, these trees should be professionally fertilized annually. New Orleans trees have been properly fertilized thanks to contributions from businesses, neighborhood associations and individuals. Fully licensed, reputable companies are contracted to perform the work. Contractors are permitted by the City’s Department of Parks and Parkways, and use only approved and appropriate chemicals. Termite Treatment $130 per tree Torn and twisted trees resulted in exposed wood that attracted termites, allowing them to gain entry and further weaken the already stressed tree.
