A Fall Tradition-
For the past 28 years, this successful event attracts several hundred guests to enjoy live jazz while dining on outstanding cuisine and specialty drinks from the city’s finest restaurants. Feast also features a silent auction and raffle.
Annual Patron Party- Margaret Orr will be the recipient of the fourth annual Green Spirit Award which will be presented at the Patron Party on Oct. 10,at Callan Contemporary Art Gallery form 6-8pm. She was selected for being an advocate of the New Orleans landscape, recognizing that it reflects the health and vitality of the city. Orr helped initiate neutral ground and garden projects, including the sunken gardens on Canal Boulevard, community gardens and schoolyard gardens.

Parkway Partners, in collaboration with The City of New Orleans’ Department of Parks and Parkways, is once again hosting its Tree Troopers Training. This 12-hour training course is held once a year and is free and open to the public!
Topics range from:
Trained Tree Troopers spearhead tree plantings in their communities. Besides replanting trees, this program is a community builder, bringing neighbors together while teaching environmental stewardship and ownership over the trees.
Parkway Partners always tries to enlist trained Tree Troopers when it plants trees in a neighborhood, as this better ensures the survival and longevity of the urban forest.
Monday, September 10 - Wednesday, September 12, 4-7pm at The New Orleans Healing Center, and Saturday, November 10, 9am-noon at Parkway Partners.
Please note- you may attend just one or two sessions, or all sessions of the training. In order to be a “certified Tree Trooper”, however, you must attend all of the sessions.

Vegetable Garden Renewal with Philip Soulet, Horticulturist and Urban Farmer. The speaker will discuss soils and techniques for preparing a bountiful fall and winter yield. Vegetable/ herb starts and scented plants will be on sale, and free seeds will be available.
All Second Saturday Programs are held at the Parkway Partners Greenhouse
